Bigger is better at Haywood Community Band, which is why the band is welcoming more members with a new, low-pressure group with its first rehearsal at 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 4 in Waynesville.
The band wants to provide an avenue for musicians of all skill levels to stay involved through this new entry level music group. Whether you are new to an instrument or dusting one off after a break from playing, this is the band for you.
Called “Take Two,” the instrumentalists will be under the direction of Haywood Community Band Associate Conductor Jenna Misch.
“I am excited to start working with new players. One of my favorite times as a music teacher is when the band finally works up our first concert,” she said. “There is so much excitement in getting to play music together!”
