Concerts

The Haywood Community Band pays tribute to American composers who have advanced the wind band tradition and continues to shape the country’s musical identity. These composers have greatly influenced the wind symphony repertoire along with the continuing evolution of the modern wind symphony. The musicians in tonight’s concert are grateful for the opportunities these individuals have made possible and we hope you enjoy their compositions created specifically for the American wind symphony.

Can we help it if Ghouls just wanna have fun?
Your Haywood Community Band is excited to present our annual “Frightacular”
performance full of spooky fun and musical surprises! Plus we will present our annual spooky awards for best band and audience member costumes and please don’t be a deadbeat and miss that Thriller ending! Be our best “fiends” forever and join us as we try to creep it real and as we like to say…”If you’ve got it, haunt it!”

We proudly present our annual salute to our nation’s military veterans with much gratitude for their service, courage, and sacrifice. We salute those that have shown true heroism in serving something bigger than oneself.  Our performance today features music that invokes the spirit of America through melodies and images that define our ever-enduring tradition and commitment to securing the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year to be with your Haywood Community Band!
With a holly jolly performance of your favorite carols surrounded by your family and  friends… it’s a perfect setting to relax and retreat from the holiday hoopla!  On behalf of the Haywood Community Band family, we wish you all the best this holiday season and a sincere hope that your holidays and new year bring you joy and happiness.
